The great thing about hostas is that they are so hardy and very forgiving for even the novice. A modest amount of care and effort will guarantee you a beautiful healthy specimen in just a few short years.
About our Hostas: We grow our hostas in the ground and make sure they get through at least one freezing Wisconsin winter before we determine they are ready for you. Our hostas are well rooted, healthy and true to type. All hostas are grown onsite at Foxfire Botanical Gardens, which is inspected by the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture for compliance with accepted horticultural procedures. We strive to make sure the plants you receive from us are free of harmful plant viruses and other pests you would not want to bring into your garden.
Shipping Information: We don’t expect trouble from the plants we ship but if you have any concerns in any way please contact us in writing or email within 5 days of receipt so we can address the problem. Beyond that time, they are out of our care and in yours and we can make no further guarantees. We have no control over icy winter rains, voles, drought and dogs that think they are the local fire hydrant or customers who may neglect to unpack them for a week! We know that if 'you treat them right--they'll treat you right'.
