To present first annual
“Spirit of the Garden”
AWARD
‘Spirit Gardens’ should be a reflection of you, your ‘own work, of your own design’.
Application
Available: If you are a member of the Friends of Foxfire Society and
are interested in participating in this event, please submit a brief
paragraph describing your garden or your neighbors or friend’s garden,
along with a picture.
Include garden owners name, address,
phone#, and/or email address. Deadline is July 10, 2008. If you are not
a member, there is a $10 fee to nominate a garden. In return you become
a supportive member of “FRIENDS”.
All submissions become
property of the committee and will not be returned. The committee will
narrow the entries down to 3 area gardens for visits. First place will
receive a monetary award with certificate; second and third place will
receive certificates of award.
This is a new event that will hopefully turn into an annual event.
“A garden is defined as any plot of dirt transformed into your special place by you. Gardens may range from vegetable to fruit
orchard,
rose garden to the front of your home. You do not have to have a garden
degree to participate. You just need to have dirt under you finger
nails.”
Awards will be presented in the month of August 2008. Please mail or email your entries to:
